Famine to Feast

Far flung savageries had wrought…
The Little Diva’s spirit…
Way more than it had ought…

She longed for peace…
To soothe her brain…
To break the corporate chain…

Bravo girl. You should make this blog out of a book.

  • The Diva's Hammer says:

What wonderful support MsTrina has given me…and yet she herself is so talented and has become a great friend!!!

I just wanted to say that I’ve always been so jealous of the sisterhood that is so wonderfully described in this poem. In no other group in society can you find a group of people who cross culture, race, and creed in order to support one another. Common struggles, and an empathy for the plight of one another.

By the way – the darkness of the start of this poem is wonderful…I can feel myself sitting in the office and feeling this way come 2:00 and the afternoon crisis start to hit. No sign of hope, or happiness anywhere in the near future…it’s a hard world.

I’m so envious of the support system that this little Diva found – it’s such a beautiful thing to read about laid out in this way. If only the rest of the world could get the hint?

I love your poems – they really offer a unique perspective. To see through the eyes of a Diva in these poems is truly enlightening. Keep up the great work.
