My Response To The Author Of When Least Expected
I whole~heartedly agree.Words can poison, words can sting, words can crush…if they are used with ill will and malice. And yet, the same pen can create love, joy, beauty and prose….it can spill words onto parchment so eloquent…the reader is taken to tears…The difference lies within the author, the writer, the user…and that is indeed a power that can be mind chilling and yet so satisfying for the soul.Love,The Muse Did you like this? Let’s explore the cottage… I so want to paint that dark wall……….. The lamp was a broken little thing, cast off, unloved…I rewired it and added a 6 color aging…it just looks like it has been loved all it’s life now! And the shade..well my third shade (i am getting a wee bit better). Loved that blue and ……”antique cream” print, go figure…LOL When I was supposedly done, it did not look done…My beloved asked me…”where is the musey-ness?” Immediately, [...]
(pictures follow) We are thankful that a marvelous Christmas season was had…one that allowed all of our family to be together, sons, daughters, grandchildren and my husband’s father. Dad has been in the hospital for weeks now and we miss him. We found out today that he has begun to bleed in his stomach again. The prognosis is not good. Our hearts are low. We think back to the last times we were all together…Christmas. A season of love. Very [...]

After five years of dating, my youngest son has asked for the hand of his love! What a wonderful dinner party we had. As a celebration, he cooked for everyone (for those of you who know this Muse, he get’s that from his dad!) My son has a modest little house, that they will turn into a home…the dining room is bright and cheery, with a combination of retro and modern styles. Their differences play off one another…I can see [...]

Brave Bird ~ Blue Monday ~ Image
BRAVE BIRD Hear my faint and tender pleas… Gently carried upon the breeze… I grow cold and the world grows dark… I can find no sparrows, finches or larks… The trees give me no shelter, no haven to rest… I search endless hours to find a warm nest… The first to arrive, I am brave, yes I know… But this little robin, doesn’t like the snow! (another work from the young Muse, age 12) Seen here 2009 Submitted as participation [...]
A prose is blooming here…. Did you like this? Share it:Tweet
In the basement dark and deep lurks a lioness who rarely sleeps. She stalks the forests of children’s trees which are gilded with ornaments in lieu of leaves. She nibbles and she gnaws and bats the tinsel with her paws. Quietly she listens as the lights glisten to hear the tunes play in the room. Her favorite lines are those that rhyme she meows them till dawn. Say a Merry Christmas to The Muse’s Miss Boog Padawan ! (please forgive [...]
Traveling Back From The North Pole….
The Muse is moving slow… As there is lots of snow… But on to Pink Saturday… She must go… Handmade tags… Adorn the swags and wreath… That are sporting vintage pink… The Muse makes tags… From papers afar… She was creative this year… And made a car… The Muse… Built a house… With windows, doors, snow… And even a mouse… Can you see the pink trees???… But what oh what …. Is pink”er” than me?… ………………… ………….. .. …… …… [...]
Today let’s look at this table’s vignette. Almost all of us, at one time or another, have had an opportunity to create a buffet~or serving station. What can you do, in order to avoid, the dreaded and ho~hum “runway” look, which entails mind numbing miles of flatness. This recent design offers many fantastic design clues. Can you name them? 1. Varied Heights (think lift…3 levels is ideal) 2. Varied Textures (entice not only the taste palette but all the senses) [...]

~One Little Closet To Rule Them All~
Oooops! Forgot to take a true BEFORE~. But close your eyes and imagine the closet without the rich blue… Ok, that was easy enough! As you can see…the closet, all white, needed a serious design lift. So, out came the paint brushes and the paint. In the Muse’s cottage, if you stand still, long enough you are apt to get painted (that is simply a legend…a fable~one that has some basis of truth). lol The closet is a mere 30 inches [...]

That photo is hauntingly beautiful, Muse.
Your giftedness amazes me.
The girl looks like a bit younger version of my roomie, Jeanette, of Nette’s Treasures. And the feel of the picture reminds me of her: such a romantic and full of reflective passion. I love her so!
