(an offering for Blue Monday) The Muse Has Spun…
Her Web Of Rhymes…
Since The Dawns…
Have First Been Spied…
Now She Declares…
You Readers There…
To Ponder This...
And Give Her Bliss…
To What Revolution…
Will You Aspire…
In Resolution…
Think In The Dark…
Think In The Deep…
Think You Lovely Readers…
Even Whilst You Sleep…
Muse 2008
The Muse is highly tactile…
First comes the visual query…
Pondering the style…
But the deal is never quite sealed…
Until she touches, caresses and FEELS!
(much to the bane of her under
standing escort/cohort…(love you honey))!On one such adventure…
The Muse found the most luscious suede…
In the softest and most splendid shade…
It took the Muse’s breath away!
So, she bought the fabric…
And wandered about on her shopping excursion…
Ever mindful, not pausing in diversions…
She eyed some magnificent vintage trims…
Lying haphazardly in an antique shop’s bin…
Handmade~lovingly tied, knotted and beaded…
All the pieces came together, as an idea was seeded…
Off to the Sewing Room she did go…
There her needle moved to and fro…
And Voila…
She loves her oreiller…
It speaks to her soul

Sueded pillow trimmed with grace,
Looks very special in it’s place.
I am not as lyrical as you
But I adore your post today of blue.
As charity walked through the aisles oh-so-narrow…
The shops and the stalls and the little carvings of Pharaoh…
The treasures, the specialties, the secrets divine…
Yet one especially
has caught her eye!
‘Tis wielded by the Muse! By the Muse!
It must be so!
The blue and the floral and the smooth silk tassels!
The elongated form of a blue suede pillow!
She looks quick, she snatches, she runs home- she stole it!
Stole the blue suede pillow…that was wielded by the Muse.
Very beautifully made…so elegant… and visually balanced. Very Nice. I love the poem too. Very creative, fun, and insightful.
Aaa! this is divine!

My head should be on your “oreiller” right about now.

I’m French so the word is extra special.
Thank you
Happy Blue Monday

How absolutely stunning. It belongs on a Queen’s chaise, on an Empress’ divan, by a Goddess’ head. You are beyond a Muse my friend. You are the Queen of Muses.

Lovely, rich, majestic and a nice decorative piece..
Thanks for your comment.. yeah I loved the process of making the tree ornament..
Dear Muse, I’m thrilled today to see
Such loveliness that flowed from Thee,
Or from thay needle aptly placed
To give blue fabric so much grace.
So, sew on Muse, and sew new dreams
From fabric trims in blues and creams,
And share your talents with your fans
Who stretch as far as distant lands.
Happy Blue Monday!
XO,
Sheila… who came up for air and is going back to bed!

xo
Hello again girl…thanks so much for coming by…I had just finished reading your comment & starting looking thru today's mail….I got a letter from my Aunt Kat in the mail…it was her annual Christmas letter inviting us all to her place for New Years! lol She lives right here in Alabama…use to live in Georgia where she wrote some for the local newpaper..but her heart has always been to write and create…she just won the 2008 Poet Laureate Poetry Chapbook Award with her dream poems, THE NIGHTS, THE DAYS.
She is my dad's baby sister & she comes to town to visit and goes by and picks up my other two aunts (her only living sisters) the oldest being 81..and she brings them here to visit and oh the time we have laughing & remembering the old days when their mama (my sweet Maw Smith)was still alive…time has such a way of robbing us of our physical bodys but it can never take away the memories & love in ones heart….Sorry for going on & on I guess Aunt Kat's letter has put me in a sentimental mood…but anyway you remind me of her in the way you write such beautiful things…I guess that is what I am trying to say….I don't mean to bother you…but thanks again for coming by..
