“Tablescape Tuesday” ~ Picture

White dishware can offer so many options…
Each holiday or event can be celebrated with basic pieces of white china or stoneware. For this Christmas table, the colors of silver and blue are combined with white to create this modern setting…the objective…to create an effect that would play off the branches (seen in the vases)…
Add some wispy white feathers, blue and white snowflake tablecloth, miniature tea lights,(sprinkled with gold glitter) and a few silver ornaments…voila, the table becomes an icy woodland of winter!

What type of centerpiece do you envision for this table?

Beautiful frosty blues, silver & white …such a different take on the Christmas tablescape.

Do I have an idea for a centerpiece….OH Boy do I!!! LOL

One thing that comes to mind is a beautiful glass container filled with artificial flaky glittered snow in the bottom. Design on top with a variety of mixed winter greenery (Carolina Sapphire has a blue hue) with some of the greenery flocked to keep with the frosty theme. Adding White Amaryllis & white berries. Carry over the silver twigs & add silver millimeter balls or ornaments. Very elegant..can carry through to the New Year as it is more wintery than Christmasy.
Oh I might have to make one of those it sounds so pretty!

  • Kathleen Ellis says:

Very pretty…wintry! Love the icy color scheme!
I think I would do one of two things for the centerpiece…stay with the icy, wintry theme and do a large crystal, silver or white vase filled with curly willow branches spray painted silver and white…then I’d hang little white sparkly snowflakes from the branches.
The other idea would be to do a pop of color not in your scheme…again in a silver, white or crystal vase a deep purple or bright deep pink flower, en masse, all one kind.
I’m sure you’ll come up with something brilliante!
    Merry Christmas!

    ~It’s elegant and icey cool.
Love the idea of adding crystal vases as a centerpiece.

  • Craig Glenn says:

Ok, Muse. First I love the setting. but I am sticking my neck out here when it comes to center pieces and such, being a country boy and all. So don’t laugh too much… lol

How about a white porcelain nativity surrounded by a circle of tea lights. As seen here but with the appropiate scale for size.

It’s very pretty – I really like white/blue/silver together. A centerpiece of maybe some of the silver mercury candleholders, in different heights, maybe? :)

I imagine a gigantic centerpiece made out of white candles in different sizes…couples with Christmas bows tied around them.

I just saw gorgeous Christmas bows yesterday afternoon that would do so well with this…winter blue with white sparkly dust speckled all over it, and trimmed in silver wiring for hold and form.

    :)

  • Charity Childs-Gevero says:

…I meant COUPLED with Christmas bows. :)
