After a long (very long process)…
Seeing seasons come…
And seasons go… The board members are AT LAST, this Monday, voting on my architectural designs. Here are my final ideas, presented as sketches...
(pen/ink and colored pencil).

Which do you prefer? As this metamorphosis continues… I will keep you updated

BLUE MONDAY
Hosted by Smiling Sally
Haze filled skies…
Lifted up from the gloom…
And the maiden knew…
Yes…the maiden knew.
Tendrils of golden sunlight…
Pierced the gray air…
And the maiden knew…
Yes…the maiden knew.
Pulsating thunderous ramparts…
Hammered the earth…
Beneath her feet…
And the maiden knew…
Yes…the maiden knew.
Her breath quickened…
Her heart raced….
Her breath so warm…
Blew like a cloud…
Into the coldness of space…
And the maiden knew…
Yes…the maiden knew.
A trumpet’s blare…
Pierced the air…
Its notes signaling the start…
And she would take her part.
The Beginning…
It was at hand…
No turning back…
And the maiden knew…
Yes…
The maiden knew.
And now, I simply ask…
Do you?

I like the windows of the second morph…
Happy Blue Morph Monday
I love the blue monday picture. I like the second sketch better as well.
I like the first morph.
The picture for blue monday is awesome.
I’m not sure if I know what the maiden knew.
Beautiful blue monday post. And I prefer the 2nd morph. Good luck with the board! Kathy
Love your poetry, as always! I love the arched windows…both look great but the arched windows are soooo graceful!
What a fun MM post! Susan
I like the second sketch the best and I am scratching my head cuz I don’t know what the maiden knew!
I like the first one. My eyes seem to draw to linear lines however. What did the maiden know…was she about to be captured? Hmm……
~Gorgeous~
The Blue Butterfly….
Hi Muse…I love the one with the Palladian windows! Your Blue Monday photo is gorgeous! And yes…I know…it’s my most favorite person ever…Joan of Arc…the maid of Lorraine!! Right??? Debbie
Oh, Most Mused One! You’re so talented! I love the second pix with the arched windows! So lovely!
That picture with the blue butterfly for Blue Monday is gorgeous.
Continue to show us your talents!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia
No, I don’t, tell me, I’m curious! I like the first one better, clean lines. I like the arched windows too but I think it makes the building too busy. What a beautiful building. I love the columns!…Christine
I like the second one. The poem was great!
Muse, I like both so I’m no help. LOL! My first reaction was to say photo 1 because the tall windows give a contemporary look to a classic building. Then I liked photo 2 because I thought of how much light the arched windows would allow in the building. So I’m stumped. Sorry!
Love the blue butterfly and the a-musing prose.
XO,
Sheila
I love the second design.
I always enjoy reading your masterful words dear one.
Hello Muse,
I vote for the second design… specially since the arched windows echo the ones in front..
Wow..that prose creates a kind of anticipation….. great!!
I definitely like the second sketch…oh to sketch like that…anywway, I voted for the second one, because it is just looking so cultured and historic and reminiscent of what is cultured and historic and almost medieval. That tickles my fancy, all the time!
I am missing you, on my blog! You haven’t been around the past few days…
I vote for the second one……I love the design of the windows with the added embellishment above them.
As for what the maiden knew…..I choose to believe it was the beginning of the Rapture.
I like the windows in the 2nd design.
Wendy
Oh goodness, how do I choose? If forced, I would pick the second one. But honestly, they are both amazing!
~Michelle
Your talent never ceases to amaze me! Rub some of that off on me, will you, please?
I think I prefer the windows in the second sketch better than the first.
Hello Muse! I’m really torn between the two. I think to make a final decision I’d like to be inside of each design looking out
:0)
And what the maiden knew is out of my reach this early in the morning…
The blue with the butterfly is gorgeous.
Happy Blue and Met to you!
Beautiful blue – who knew? Oh yes, the maiden knew.
Both of the sketches are great but I think maybe I like the top one a tiny bit better.
Charlotte
My favorite is the first rendering …. great post today!
I like teh second pic best. I think the arched windows are more in keeping w/ teh historical look of the building.
I just love the windows in the second one! The maiden knew, is so me this week! Thanks for such wonderful poem! I love it.
I like the second one the best…Good luck…love your blog…hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
Truly my heart loves Palladian windows and the second is a beautiful rendering- so graceful.
But, today I love the fresh update of the first one. The nod to traditional on the front and the open, new fresh look on the sides- like we love our past but know who we are and where we are….whether we are maidens or not! Beautiful work. Oh,by the way- the pic on my blog is my husband and me- Easter last year. We just celebrated 30 years. Love him. Didn’t have my parents on the comp to upload. Going to scan in a fun one I found of them. Thanks for looking.
The maiden- it was a new beginning and she knows she’s capable of doing wonderful and marvelous things, even when there are obstacles. Time to take her place, fully embracing life and all it offers. Happy Monday! Go out there and conquer!
Hi Muse
I like the second one!
What a wonderfull poem, you are so talented!
Hello My Dear Friend!
How are you this great Monday?
I do like the second pic because of the windows. I think it is a popular choice.
Visit my blog when you have a moment. Come and see what group I have created. It really is SWEET!
xoxo
I always enjoy your poetry Muse. Happy Blue Monday! I can’t decide between your two sketches. I think one will be picked.
Nice sketches! I have to go with the 2nd one. The continuity seems to flow better. The arches of the Palladian style windows match the ones in the front and the period of the building.
I love tall contemporary windows though! Once more your wonderful talent is shining through:-) I enjoyed the prose today!
Happy Blue Monday!
How funny, I looked at this last night and thought Yes, I like photo 2 and went to leave a comment but my computer crashed and today I come back and find pic no. 2 a bit fussy and prefer pic no. 1. the building is stunning though. The blue butterfly on the water is also stunning as is your poem, hugs, Kathy.
In response to your Beautiful Blue Monday Poem…
Oh, my friend, I believe I do ;o>.
AND…
I prefer the second design. I don't know, it looks warmer to me. I'd be willing to bet that the construction workers (my hubby) would prefer the first one though. The windows make all the difference, to me and to them.
Wonderful design!! Woo-hoo.
♥ and smiles, Heather
oh girl! I am in love with the second one…the one with the rounded windows….it is fantastic! They are both wonderful tho….keep us posted!!!
I like the first one. I think beams of sunlight would shine in beautifully with these long windows.
I lean toward the first sketch. the simple tall windows is quite and effective design. The second sketch the windows seem heavy and the pattern busy.
Love your Blue Mondy post also.
The way the side stone/brickwork is “lifted” by that narrow undercut of sidewalk-level marble/white stone in the first rendering is really interesting.
Beautiful poetry and most beautiful shade of blue.
I love the arched windows.
Hi, the Muse,
I like the second metamorphosis better because its classical design is more harmonious with the ironic columns and classical front facade. Moreover, the lower arched windows have a more human proportion and make the building more friendly to pedestrians.
I definitely preffered the 2nd sketch.
Love the second one…..great design…love the prose!!!!
Happy Blue Monday to you as well my friend.
)))
My goodness you are sooooooooo smart…Ann
The second building. Love the window arches.
I forgot to tell you before.
Thanks for the kind comment on my WW post. I really appreciate it.
I wanted to play the game you have posted today but my brain can’t think straight. I’ll have my hubby help me later.
I love the second sketch!
Yes, I do…know, that is!
And I love your architectural sketches…both of them!
You are truly a woman of all seasons and many talents!
