Fanciful Follies Friday ~ What If Machine

YOU ….
YES, YOU !!!!
Have been captured…

Don’t be alarmed…
Stay Calm.

For these robots mean you no harm…
They exude kindness, chivalry and charm.

They simply need a test subject, you see…
Someone to travel in their
“WHAT IF MACHINE”.

They offer you a questionnaire…
These highly evolved,
and mannerly robots…
Quirky mechanisms that care…

And the first inquiry is:

“What if you could live ONE day,
in ANY career
What career would that be & why?”

Consider your answer…
Ponder…
And let us know :)

ENJOY!!!!

  • mbkatc230 says:

Music teacher, hands down. Can’t carry a tune in a basket, so this is definitely a “what if” wish. Why? because introducing children to music, ALL music, and showing them the joy, comfort and creativity it inspires has to be the best job in the world! Kathy

  • Connie says:

Yes, mother is the best. I agree. However, if I had a choice I would love to be an artist and paint wonderful pictures, chickee. I am a frustrated wanna-be rose painter!! But that would definitely be my first choice. A painter extraordinaire, honey…….Sigh*……..
    Smooches,
    Connie

    hugs… Dixie

  • The Quintessential Magpie says:

I would love to be a famous actress like Helen Hayes and be on the Broadway Stage in a hit play. I think it would be wonderful to feel the warmth of the audience after a job well done! Of course, you would need to be starring in the play, too, Muse! :-)

    XO,

    Sheila

  • Lana says:

Author and columnist — both dying professions as poorly paid as bellows menders. But they’re so me.

    All the best, Lana

P.S. Please share YOUR answer, dear Muse.

  • jewelstreet says:

Love the pics! This is a good question. My answer would be a famous fashion designer who is premiering a new line at Paris Fashion Week. When I was growing up, I always wanted to be a fashion designer. Unfortunately, I never learned how to sew very well. :)

  • dxtr says:

One day in any career! I’d like to be an evil sith destroying everything in my path. Why? Because sometimes I just want to destroy everything and being an evil sith lord is a license to do it.

  • Craig Glenn says:

I would have to chose author. My perfect day would be the final day of a novel, deep in the woods sitting by the fire in some cabin, putting the finishing touches and writting the last words to my new best selling novel!

    ~sigh~

Back to work… writting code to grease the cogs of commerce for the man, who shares precious little of the wealth with the poor dreamers in their cubes….

    Craig

  • Helen says:

Don’t know why but the first thing that popped into my mind was to be an actress for a day on the set of 24. (Jack Bauer may have something to do with that.)

  • Raggedy Girl says:

First… a big shout out to Anne Francis, one of my old time favorite actresses!

No contest… I want to be an airline stewardess and fly to wonderful places with my one perfectly packed suitcase and my thin body which can glide down that skinny aisle. Nice dreaming
    Have a Great Friday!
    Roberta Anne

  • theeclecticconnoisseur says:

I would be the host of a travel/food television series…something like Giada DeLaurentiis’ “3 Day Weekend” or Rachael Ray’s “Tasty Travels”. When do I start?

    Have a great weekend!

  • Tabitha Chooses Bliss says:

I’d love to be a radio DJ. :)

  • Envoy-ette says:

Queen Elizabeth has a career as being QUEEN. I would like that, if only to have someone else iron my clothes for the day and fix a wonderful meal I wouldn’t have to clean up after. All the kids would have nannies, I wouldn’t have to taxi everyone about, and I could mount a horse and take off on my own across my beautiful land and maybe call up some world leaders and ask them, “what the hell were you thinking?” Yep- ONE DAY- I could do it!

  • Rose Haven says:

Oh…now this may come as a surprise to you! LOL!!! (me thinks NOT)

I would want to be, along with Tom, the OWNERS of a Bed & Breakfast Inn in Door County, Wisconsin. I can picture us with an old, historic home…with at least 3 or 4 rooms…all decorated in a way to soothe the souls of all who enter in. With a Kitchen fit for a CHEF…namely ME. I would provide the nourishment for the body of everyone in the B&B!!

God has given me the gift of Hospitality and a yearning for a B&B…so we're trusting HIM, to see where we go from here.

Why Door County in Wisconsin? That's our favorite place to vacation…summer or winter. It's about 3 hours NORTH of Milwaukee, and is a peninsula that covers 72 miles…bordered by Green Bay waters on the west and Lake Michigan on the east. It's BEAUTIFUL!!!

Thanks for asking…didn't take me any time to ponder.

    ~Blessings,
    Jan

Well I agree with most that motherhood is by far the hardest and most gratifying job there is… However if I had a choice after 15 years dancing lessons and teaching for 2 years I would like to have been a famous dancer… maybe a Radio Music Hall Rocket… Of course I haven’t the body for that now…

Oh my…let’s see. Well, this will be a big surprise….I want to be a goat roper! LOLLOL I think I would like to see the world through the eyes of a rancher, living out west in the Rockies. What a wonderful, beautiful view you would have of the majestic mountains with the ranch nestled down among them in the valley.

  • Cassie says:

Easy Peasy. I would be a “Wave Watcher” on a tropical island, preferably St. John. It would be my job to watch the waves that roll into shore. I would have to take part in the local drink (rum) while watching the waves, so I am witnessing them the same as any vacationer who may catch a glimpse. Oh, does this have to be a real job?

  • Muriel (Wipneus) says:
