The Kitchen!

A startling story…(yes, just like the cover says!)
O
ur kitchen was sooooo bad…(ok, that is your key to ask”HOW BAD WAS IT MUSE?” ) LOL
well, it was sooooo bad…
That this sign was posted as you walked through the door!

Yes, yes,…don’t let the kitty cuteness fool you…
We are talking major mayhem of the highest degree!
So much so, that scenes like this were not uncommon!

(oh no … wait that’s me attempting to cook, forget you saw that…)
Nothing to do but to get to work…
So… I dreamed…I pondered…I thought…(ate in between these times, and continued with blog posts and commenting… and had a potty break or two…) you get the picture, I’m sure LOL…NOW, getting back to the serious nature of this project…I WORKED HARD!

&
VOILA…
AN IDEA…A PLAN…A VISION

Sooooo, what do you think???
Of course this is very rough….and there is a lot more to do
I am not certain about the cabinet finish…
MMMM…
Shall I go a soft antique white….
or a gentle buttercreme?

Two parts of the kitchen work triangle are displayed.
I still want to play with the opposite wall and the center island area. And I definitely want to have my husband’s input.
He is the
After all
But, I think I have found my color inspiration
LOL we shall see…for the story continues!
Submitted for Metamorphosis Monday
*(I realize this is not a complete metamorphosis…yet! But we are sure working on it)

Love your morph…. and the tale to go along with it!
Muse,
Your cooking attempts look much like mine! Your kitchen design, well, it’s looking devine. But, alas, it’s for the man, I pine!
I like. I would go with a soft antique white. I would love for my kitchen cabinets to look like this. My kitchen is in need of a serious face lift.
Oh wow…those sketches…they inspire me…
Fabulous Met Mon post!!
I can already tell it will be gorgeous! =)
Wow, I am wondering what color you would choose for your kitchen! Very nice sketches and models. Besides a poet, are you also an interior designer?
Love the new kitchen design. It’s just gorgeous. But my favorite has to be the emergency kitten, I think that would be the perfect addition to any room. Kathy
Thanks for the giggle this morning!
Your kitchen plans are beautiful and I am sure there will be no more burnt dinners in there – you will be transformed when you walk through the doors
Seriously though – it looks great and I personally would pick soft Antique White.
Blessings,
Kymber
To cook or not to cook?
That is the question.
Whether tis nobler to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous
dishes… and I can cook some outrageous dishes… sounds like you can, too! LOL!
Love the post, Muse, and I love your dream for your new kitchen. I think antique white. But the other color would work just fine, too.
Chuckling as I blog…
XO,
Sheila
Wow…what a beautiful kitchen you've designed for that chef of yours!! (Lucky man, Luckier Lady) LOL
Now…as soon as YOU get it installed for him…you will be able to sit at your island bar & wait for him to serve you his delicious creations!!
I cannot wait to see it…
xo
It looks lovely! Loved the pic of flames & smoke shooting out of the oven.
Love the curves! What a great design and I can’t wait to see the finale!
That kitchen design is gorgeous!
Oh, your kitchen is going to be gorgeous, I just know it! I’m jealous!
I just love this design and would like antique white. This would be an ideal kitchen and I love to cook!
Salut Muse…J’adore la cuisine…très français! Et quelle inspiration! Bonne journée!…Debbie
I’m partial to soft antique white and your sketches are just wonderful to study. A work in progress that will no doubt inspire all of us.
I can’t wait to see the finished product. The design is charming.
I love the glass in the cabinet doors. Wonderful design. It might be too gorgeous to cook in though.
Love the kitchen design, soft antique white for me!!!
I love your sketches. It is very much like the cabinets in my kitchen and they are a Soft Antique White and I love them But I could also do a Buttercream.
You know these are the details that I so often have trouble deciding on. You have the style picked out, which I love, but now it’s the color. What are your favorite colors? What colors will run thru the house? Do they look better with white or cream? Decision made.
Just my 2 cents.
That is wonderful! Truly!
heehee Mused loved your posters today but your kitchen design just floored me, WOW!. We are going to re-do our kitchen this year and this is truly inspiring. Kathy
My My My…what a wonderful design now tell me who wouldn’t cook in a kitchen like that! LOL
Your design while beautiful and most practical seems to me to lack the soul of The Muse. Something is missing, I’m just not sure what.
Antique white or buttercream…I can see both. By looking at the picture I see buttercream. I love the design. Who couldn’t cook in that kitchen! I love to cook….be right over! lol
Your kitchen design looks great. Good Luck with the two colors you have mention. Either one would look fantastic..
Oh, Most Mused One! I love your kitchen design! I believe this is the biggest step – knowing what you want!
You’re a runner? Mr. Precious would certainly run with you – he’s addicted! lol
be a sweetie,
Shelia
THAT is going to be one fabulous kitchen!
I’m a fan of the soft antique white, myself. But I like the whole set up! Very neat!
I agree with your commenter Glenda.
The kitchen appears very elegant and posh not at all what I see from your your other design images on this blog.
You are missing something, this kitchen is not what you really want is it?
Who are you comprising for and why?
Love that Emergency Kitty!

Mrs. Muse! I came over to wish you a Happy Belated Pink Saturday. And I love the pink regal furniture. But I must say I think your cabinetry plans for your kitchen are fabulous! I am in awe of your talent! I live in a 100 year old house and my husband and I need to redo our tiny kitchen. I would die to have yours in there! I love the antique white! Love your blog. Very creative and witty! hugs, Ellen
