Alert:
**MUSE NEEDS CANDLE HOLDERS**
(Life on the farm comes to a grinding halt~
All the Muse’s clients are put on standby…)
(INSERT MISSION IMPOSSIBLE THEME HERE)
The Muse goes Trashing…ok, that doesn’t sound very ladylike, LOL…rephrase that…She goes JUNKING, hmmm, no…
She goes ANTIQUING!
She finds these delightful bowls….The exact shade of French blue that delights her so very much!
FIVE CENTS EACH !
(you are so right, she is doing that Muse happy dance…)
Now she could use these bowls “as is“…perfectly acceptable, easy peazy, no muss, no fuss…TA DAH… but alas no!
She continues to shop… (surprise)! And falls upon two crystal lamps that are chickens (they have no guts)! LOL
TWENTY FIVE CENTS EACH!
(The Muse is thankful that she has serenaded the shop owner for over two years with poetry…at last, at these prices..the prose may pay off!) LOL
………
………..
…………….
Now…
The Muse will transport the crystal and china…
Through time…
Through space…
And by the wonders of her Musey~ness…
VOILA !
……
……….
………………

AREN”T THEY GORGEOUS?
The Muse Loves Them!

TABLESCAPE TUESDAY
Once more, you can see that white china plays a part in a good solid design. The fluted stoneware is of the palest blue and has a very dusky appearance. The exact shade of blue used in fabrics in the room. To keep the white china plates from seeming out of place…a plain white linen runner is used with napkins carrying the same crispness (note the brushed nickel napkin rings). A stainless steel cook pot takes on a new duty as a very linear flower container. The white display of aromatic beauty needs no further adornments. With such a setting…what silverware setting should be used? Would you vote for stream lined and contemporary to stay with the modern design of the napkin rings and the flower pot or would you be inclined to select utensils with antique flair, playing off the flowers and the fluid movement of the stoneware?

You know what you can put inside those bowls on top of those glass vases? You can put porcelain eggs in them! French blue porcelain eggs! And other colors, too! Like soft yellow and lilac and pink!
I wish I could be like you already, and make so many nice tablescapes and things, all the time! I will try and grow at my steady pace, and one day, I think, I’ll get there!
sorry…they’re crystal lamps, not glass vases…pardon me.
It’s great to see you can look at something, not as it is, but as what it might be. This is a concept that could be applied to many areas of life, I think…
Beautiful candle holders, by the way.
Sherrlyn of lovesimplyhappens says. . . Ah yes I too love those finds of great. Love the white flowers.
I found just this week a find not so artistic but for a mere $3.00 a popcorn popper. No more microwave ick popcorn for us.
Beautiful bowls Muse. Love the way you put them together. And I love white flowers.
Wow…you found some wonderful treasures! I love what you’ve done with them!
Happy Tuesday!
Love the bowls and the lamps, but together. . . Wow! And the stoneware in your tablescape is gorgeous, such a perfect shade of blue. Kathy
Beautiful crisp and clean tablescape! Muse, Dixie thinks you’d be a blast to shop with. I love the way you look at a simple object and see beyond it… or is it into it… either way… love you candle holders… or egg holders… i liked that idea too!
Hi Muse…First, thanks for OKing my baby step at poetry…lol.
I love your candleholders! And what a bargain! And your table scape is sooo serene and peaceful…just like your Museness! Love those colors! I didn’t do one this time…I’ve been a sickie. But I dreamed about tablescapes. Does that count?…Debbie
Muse you are so ingeniously, wickedly creative. I stand up and cheer! Three cheers for Queen Muse! RAH! RAH! RAH!

LOVELY Sis ..just lovely!
The French blue dishes are lovely and coupled with crystal, they stand ready for company.
You KNOW I love, love, love the tablescape of soft blue! I’d choose contemporary silverware.
I love those bowls! What a lucky find. You know what I call that shade of blue? Versailles blue. Doesn’t that sound all historically fancy schmancy?
Those are beautiful bowls!
I may have to start “antiquing”
I ♥ the french blue color
I’m a “time traveler” – I travel when I have the time, chickee!! And this morning looks particularly good until my massage – squeeeeeeal – at 10 am!!
I’ve done the exactly same thing with bowls, plate and candle stick holders and they add a bit of pizzazz to everything I put in those dishes….
Happy whateverday this is, sweet chick!!

Love the tablescape…. I see flowers (?) peering out of the bowl….love those bowls!
Don’t you love good finds like that? One person’s trash is another’s treasure!
Very Beautiful Muse! And you candle holders are just Lovely! Deb

I love the lamp and bowl combo! I must see further into the “momento” table that they are sitting on…it looks like a fun post in and of itself…sorry Muse if I am being to nosey…someone has to do it!
Oh my I am so in love with the Tablescape. What a find in Trash to treasure and a bargain too.
Love teh soft shades of blue….in both your trash to treasure dishes & your tablescape.
But that coffeee table….that's the best thing I've seen all week! It's totally awesome! (Why do I start talking like a surfer dude when I get excited? *grins) Would love to see a post on all the treasures inside. *hint hint*
Ooh, gorgeous! They look so lovely on the table. Just my kind of deal too.
very pretty and creative.
Beautiful candleholders and tablescape.
Very pretty table, and the flowers add such a fresh look…
WOW Muse what wonderful bargains the bowls are so pretty and the crystal set them off perfectly, I love, love your tablescape, it’s perfect, the french blue with the crisp white and silver, I think I would vote to keep it modern but antique silverware would look equally lovely here, the flower pot is genius.
So wonderful, so pretty, so peaceful. Can we sit now? lol
Love what you did with the crystal lamps and bowls, and they certainly made a statement for so little cost. That flutted bowl is wonderful, and I want some of those simple, squared napkin rings. Of course, I’d use vintage flatware, but that’s just me! I’m sure you know a lot more than I do about what should be used. laurie
Love the Trash to Treasure and Tablescape Tuesday contributions! Delightful post!
Love the cool blues and the white flowers Missy Muse…!
Love it all – but especially your trash to treasure finds! GREAT idea! Happy Tuesday!
Terrific Trash To Treasure Transformation!
I love your monochromatic tablesacpe…VERY elegant! Sophisticated, even! I think the beauty of it is that you can go either way…contemporary or “antique”…great versatility!
Have a happy week!
Love how you have so much fun putting it all together. Beautiful tablescapes!
You are so creative and such a great shopper! Love what you did with the bowls and vases.
Thanks for linking to Trash to Treasure!
Diane
I love those bowls. I have a weakness for antique dishes! You are one creative Muse.
Ok…will you come show me how to make some of my trash items to treasure never thought about anything like that always throwing things away. Great Post!!!
I love your tablescape. I am really falling in love with cool blues and white. That stoneware is beautiful. I have always loved gerber daisies. Just perfect!!
Wonderful tablescape…love the soft blues with the crisp white! I normally go for the antique look but for some reason, I could just see a modern/contemporary flatware…picking up the style of the napkin rings. The whole table setting is like a breath of fresh spring air in the midst of this cold, cold January day. Thanks for the respite…it was lovely!
Susan
P.S. Your Trash to Treasure was brilliant…great eye! Would look great in another tablescape!
Beautiful blue china bowls for 5 cents each? I want to go shopping with YOU … faboo blue storefront, too.
peace,
Victoria
Really don’t know what to say…
Muse, you are the queen! Can’t believe you got that china and crystal for such a great price! You go, girl!
And I love white china, too. Love the tablescape.
XO,
Sheila
Little Miss Fancy Pants LOL You did it again. So creative and you just inspired me to go through my Great-grandmother’s china that I have packed away for safe keeping. It really isn’t doing any good in a box and I am sure she would be delighted to know that I will be displaying it.
Thank you my friend.
xoxo
I never realize that such light tone of blue would create such a peacful atmosphere.
I imagine white wine in those glasses….what a lovely time to share with good friends.
Everything here is stunning. I’m still just fighting to keep the mismatched set of dishes I have clean but when the baby slows down I know where to come to point me back in the right direction
