Applause is to be admire(d)if you attest that it is a positive reaction.

Oh, ok, now that I am 27th commentors, I lost on what to say. But this is fun though.
She said “I attest” and so I asked why so she said “I admire him too much to believe such a thing about him” and in my heart, I heard the applause for a character so true…so loyal…as her’s.
To admire is one thing, but to add rabuncious applause to the mix …well I attest that really is rather over the top and muse like … but I do digress …
Although from different places, but this perception is consistent, which is relatively rare point!
