Posting it in the comment box (3) Then they must GIVE another word, which will be the NEXT reader’s Gift. Shall we play? The word which I gift to thee is: Effulgence Did you like this? Share it:Tweet

Not every rustic home, such as a log home has rustic furnishings. There are times when rustic applications such as stone and timbers will meet the flair of contemporary styles. In these sketches I show how the love of Italian modern pieces can be brought into the country getaway lifestyle. Did you like this? Share it:Tweet
I am not really sure that you can put a specific design name to The Painted Nest. Our cottage doesn’t fall into one style category, for it reflects not only our farm life…but our outside interests. (click pics to enlarge~if you dare!) Items we have gathered on our travels here and abroad…fill our home…as well as wondrous treasures passed from generation to generation. And there are handmade treasures that tell secret stories. Did you like this? Share it:Tweet
Raise your glass… Raise your spear… Lift up your voice… So all may hear. Be they raves… Or be they rants… Sing praises in sonnets… Or admonishments in chants. Roast those misbehaving… Who vex and cavort… Whose little stings… Of subversion… Put you out of sorts. Toast those visions… Who enchant and mesmerize… Whose poignant art Of caring… Will not be compromised. So roast or toast… But make your boast … Of those that passed… Your weekly path… Hold fast! Today let’s look at this table’s vignette. Almost all of us, at one time or another, have had an opportunity to create a buffet~or serving station. What can you do, in order to avoid, the dreaded and ho~hum “runway” look, which entails mind numbing miles of flatness. Did you like this? Share it:Tweet

I simply adore my number one fan! To the best husband a Muse could ever [...]
My Response To The Author Of When Least Expected
I whole~heartedly agree.Words can poison, words can sting, words can crush…if they are used with ill will and malice. And yet, the same pen can create love, joy, beauty and prose….it can spill words onto parchment so eloquent…the reader is taken to tears…The difference lies within the author, the writer, the user…and that is indeed a power that can be mind chilling and yet so satisfying for the soul.Love,The Muse Did you like this? (pictures follow) We are thankful that a marvelous Christmas season was had…one that allowed all of our family to be together, sons, daughters, grandchildren and my husband’s father. Dad has been in the hospital for weeks now and we miss him. We found out today that he has begun to bleed in his stomach again. The prognosis is not good. Our hearts are low. We think back to the last times we were all together…Christmas. A season of love. Very [...]
I take you back…To memories sweet…Of things remembered…In your sleep. Bring them now…To share the light…To smile of things…Oh so bright. Cradled deep…In hearts and souls….Listen now…For they be told…Remembered by…Both young and old. (2008 The Muse) Question this week for my readers is this:“What was the color/style of your bedroom when you were a teenager?” Muse says: orange & blue color scheme, style…hand me down chic ! I recall at age 13, I had found 3 rolls of discount [...]

The next step will be to add the color…fabrics, paint, etc. ~which are leaning in the aqua blue and butter gold family. I am going to use colored pencils in my hand sketch. If it is acceptable, then I will move on to my computer aided drawing tablet and begin the real life rendering. What do you think? From traditional to contemporary… Design takes many paths… Which path is your home on? Did you like this? Share it:Tweet
