~ Boudoir’s Cry For Help~

Once upon a time, (well, not so very long ago), a lovely hotel, cried out for help.

They had an excellent staff…the cuisine was impeccable…their amenities were unsurpassed. All this was being offered to the public for a fantastic price.  And yet, they obviously needed something for their bookings had begun to fade.

It was quite clear, from this designer’s viewpoint, the rooms (while wonderfully maintained) were dated and not in a good way.

The traditional qualities of the suites, the lobby and the dining room, were being completely overshadowed by inconsistencies of furnishings and decor.

Now, please don’t misunderstand, I completely support mix and match, but the melding must be that…a blend; Like “cookies and milk” my contractor says frequently (after my beloved, that man has my heart! lol).

Upon discussing these points of good design, I asked what one thing in the entire hotel did everyone love. I was expecting many different answers. But the winner? The marble!

With that in mind, I have begun sketching and scouting…designing and planning. Dreaming big for my budget. Thinking outside the box. And laying out my design boards…for a space that will have everyone clamoring to stay at this delightful establishment. Want to know what I have up my musey sleeve? Stay tuned…

Love,

The Muse

Hello Muse, ok,now I am intrigued with this idea you are working on. Decorating is my passion. My friend had a decorating business and I would volunteer to be her helper when ever possible. I learned so much from her. We are childhood friends and she was so gracious to let me tag along. I will be watching Muse.

Oh what oh what are you up to, my dear? I was supposed to be in the midst of a bathroom remodel last month, but a wrench got thrown into that mix. When Mr. gets better, we will probably tackle it. The contractor has been patient and knows it will be done eventually. Thanks for visiting once again. I always appreciate it! hugs, Sue
