~Thankful Thursday~

(pictures follow) We are thankful that a marvelous Christmas season was had…one that allowed all of our family to be together, sons, daughters, grandchildren and my husband’s father.  Dad has been in the hospital for weeks now and we miss him.

We found out today that he has begun to bleed in his stomach again. The prognosis is not good. Our hearts are low.  We think back to the last times we were all together…Christmas. A season of love. Very appropriate.
Dad loves this holiday! He always laughs at the “vintage’ ornaments. Dad loves nature…so do I.

We are thankful for memories…thankful for the hope of a better and brighter tomorrow.

I’m so sorry to hear about your beloved Dad. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. And I’m so happy that you got to spend a joyous Christmas with him. A cherished memory for you, and for him also I’m sure. Hugs, Kat

Kat, thank you, so much, we need them. The antibiotics which are so needed…are now not being tolerated…and thus, the bleeding. The cure seems to be hurting just as much as the ailment.
    Hugs right back!

I am very saddened to hear this news about your daddy, Muse ~

  • Muse,

I hate to hear about your Father’s condition..it does seem a lot of the times that the treatment is as bad as the ailment. I think his comfort is so important right now.

    Do keep us updated…

Thanks for your kind comments…it means the world to me that you visit my home in bloglandia. :o ) My blog acquaintances allow me to share so much. I’ve always been a homebody so it’s extra nice to connect with others this way.

We have 2-3 inches of fresh snow…supposed to have more today.

I hope your Thursday is a lovely day.

Stephani: we too are to have more snow. The atmosphere doesn’t help my sadness. Dad is foremost on our hearts and mind. Your kindness is so appreciated.

I am off to visit you both!

    Dearest Muse,
I too am saddened Your dad/ FIL is still in the hospital and isn’t doing well. It seems harder to treat the new strain of illnesses and the treatments seem worst than the illness. Bless his sweet heart. Just love him! I am glad for your cherished memories.
Most sincere prayers are being offered in his and your families behalf.
