Here I sit. Out my cottage window is a winter wonderland of sorts…icy drapes, snuggle my evergreens. Here I sit. I long for warmth on my face…I long to walk in my beloved woods. Here I sit. I yearn to open my cottage windows and doors…to let the breezes flow. I dream of hearing the screen doors squeak…a gentle hello as I pass to the porch. My mind is swirling with the wonderful designs playing about in my mind. Here I sit.
There is so much to do here at the cottage…and she too cries out softly to spring…urging her to make her presence known. The hands of the clock…tick by~slowly…the calendar pages are pensive…Here I sit. I wonder, what do you want to see here at the cottage? The Painted Nest awaits your tender whispers.

Meet the princess…as kind as she is lovely.
And this is my loved FIL…(currently) in the hospital. And our oldest grandson, the state wrestling champ.
All these images are taken in the oldest part of the cottage, the room we refer to as the painted parlor.
