Farming begins with the love of the land…
The use of the land is determined by topography.
Trees are cherished and where there is new construction, there will soon be grass and landscaping.
The wildlife will thrive with the addition of hearty vegetation. Birdhouses and other sanctuaries will be added, to aid the creatures, great and small.
This is a small cycle of our farm, the actual metamorphosis…continues…as new life is constantly being added. The birds are cared for constantly and are not caged. They are heated and cooled…fed and watered…we even play classical music for our feathered friends…and they sing to us, and grow….they lay eggs which we hatch. Thus, moving the circle ever round.
Farming begins with the love of the land and extends to caring for the animals put into your care. Our family has been farming for over 200 years on the same land. This metamorphosis pays homage to one small part of our family farm, the poultry aspect.

Happy Day
and Don’t Forget to visit more friends on
Metamorphosis Monday !

The Muse

Your chicks are so precious! Love your approach to the land.
Wonderful post. Love your presentation. I’ve been a city girl all my life and am overwhelmed at the thought of all that responsibility. I spent one summer at my high school BF’s grandparents farm. Kudos to you!
Cheers!
Tina
AAh… wow how much land do u have?
I love this post, your love and care for the land comes through so beautifully. And those chicks are adorable.
The love of the land runs deep! I think it is born in you. This is some operation!
Wow, that is a nice operation you have going there. The color of the eggs are paint-match worthy and the baby chicks are too cute!
I hope you’ll drop by AtticMag this week to tour my home.

Wow, Ms. Muse..I did not realize that your family had such an amazing legacy of farming on the same piece of land…and the soil speaks…volumes upon volumes upon volumes….XXXXXXX
Hi Muse,
I love this post…and I love land. We live on about 1 1/2 acres which is a postage stamp compared to your farm. I have often wondered where my love of land came from because my parents were city folk. Your pics are great and I bet those eggs are wonderful. Lucky chickens to be able to listen to music. More pics please
My Muse, did I mention? I am a city cat that married a Farmer. My hubby is a cash crop Farmer,no livestock here. It is a century Farm been in my hubbies family 206 years.
I so “very much” enjoyed all your lovely picture’s. Visiting your blog is such a peaceful moment. I get such a thrill when you visit my blog and your so clever comments left. I have created a lady who is caged, again the meaning is live life. I am thinking about getting the most from life you can, lately.
Always such a pleasure coming to visit you, I don’t know your first name?
Have a great day, My Muse.
Hugs,Laura.
