~Rough Design Sketch~

The next step will be to add the color…fabrics, paint, etc. ~which are leaning in the aqua blue and butter gold family.

I am going to use colored pencils in my hand sketch.

If it is acceptable, then I will move on to my computer aided drawing tablet and begin the real life rendering.

What do you think?

From traditional to contemporary…

Design takes many paths…
Which path is your home on?

  • There is nothing better than a drawing, colored pencils and fabric samples (squealing here!)
It’s just got to be the best job in the world!
Right now our homes are on a path of traditional meets junk & whatever else might fancy us…our homes are dated 1896 & 1905 – so, we are very eclectic, much like the store, somewhat French & English Country….that is where we are heading I guess!!
Hope you are having a lovely weekend Muse!

You wonderful and sweet lady, I LOVE MY CHAIR!!! IT is so BEATUIFUL! Thank You!!! I ahd to tell my heart to be still! I will post it next week.

Your rendering is gorgeous and comes from a very talented hand with a lovely vision guiding it!:) It will be GRAND and the colors sounds dreamy.
I am amazed at all you have been doing! I can hardly believe you had time to send the chair, still post blogs and do all of this during this special week and important day. I am so happy for your family!
I pray the weather was wonderful and you have had a very happy groom and bride at your home and the spirit was tender yet joyous.
Tears are a good thing and is the right of every mother as they watch their sons/daughters take these important vows. Wow! Congratulations!!!
Our son son cried 15 months ago at his wedding! Then 3 weeks ago at the birth of his son.
    Yes, tears are good.
Much love and again thank you so much for the gorgeous chair.~♥

  • Hello Muse,

I’m not sure a son can get married and a mother NOT cry!! hehe I can’t wait to see pictures?

I remember when I first started following your blog a long time ago it seems..that I was always so fascinated by your renderings. Oh how I wish I could draw like that. :0) You are such a talented and extraordinary person……So I’m assuming this is for a client of yours??

Yes, see I’m being sooooo nosey! hehe I like getting to know my neighbors so you must give me the details….just a few. :0)

I got a late start today on visiting…finally got all the income tax stuff to mail to the CPA. It’s cooled off again and is raining.

    Have a lovely day,
    Stephanie ♥

Thanks for stopping by and asking about a custom cushion. I have never made a cushion before….my first attempt will be on my own settee sometime soon. Although I don’t think they are too challenging I would be afraid to have my first attempt be for someone other than myself!
