  • ~Living Room Tweaking~

    Keeping it cozy in taupe ~ The defining pieces are the chandelier, once brass…no problem, spray painted black it warms up the space. Once heavy drapes replaced now with a simple pumpkin linen.     Here is a wider pan of the mantle…with my finished muse and my wisteria zinc globes…that yes, I had to paint (the ceiling is getting bead-board…can we all say hallelujah?)   • ~A New Design Path~

    There are always rooms and spaces at The Painted Nest which need some sprucing up. Our beloved cottage is in a constant state of  “creation”. And I love it, I certainly do For me, color is my companion. So imagine my beloved’s shock, when this color palette was placed before him! Admittedly, this would be a new path for me. The Muse has creamy antique white accents throughout her cottage…but there is not a room which totally embraces the hue. [...]

  • ~The Little Cupboard~

    I have had loads of fun….the cupboards are actually now attached to the wall! And I adore the barn red paint glaze I made. For some added interest…I am toying with wood braid/twist molding.
