Here is a little sitting area, at our home, ”The Painted Nest”. We use it mostly as a place to put on and take off our shoes. The chair, a vintage flea market find for $2.00, was in bad shape visually, but quite sound, structurally. So, The Muse was quick to grab this treasure! Did you like this? Share it:Tweet

There once was a sofa…a sweetheart of a gal, who loved denim. Her favorite skirt was denim too…with a bit of tassel and fluff. Can you catch a peek? (Plain to see she is a cottage farm gal, what high society folk call~unpretentious. Did you like this? Share it:Tweet
A farm gal Muse has lot’s to do… She tromps through mud in boots not shoes. Our little feathered cuties need lots of care… Warm fall sun and cool crisp air. Clucking and chirping a barn yard tune… They sing until they spy the moon! (aren’t they cute?) Did you like this? Share it:Tweet

Keeping it cozy in taupe ~ The defining pieces are the chandelier, once brass…no problem, spray painted black it warms up the space. Once heavy drapes replaced now with a simple pumpkin linen. Once red brick was too brash, answer..Paint! The finale to this room was not to simply disguise a no longer used fireplace, but to make the space work…just in a different way. A custom designed unit was built to complete the “meant to always be here” look [...]

Here is the Muse’s tuffet. A flea market find bought for one solitary dollar. Now certainly you cannot imagine that a muse of any good reputation can let that piece of treasure remain in the cottage without adding layer upon layer… that’s right it is time to musefi~! Tablescape Tuesday hosted by Susan By now, most of you know that the design team here loves white china! It can be used in all types and styles of spaces…from formal to casual…from modern to victorian and everything in between. Even if a style request is not what you would do for yourself, there are always lessons to learn and challenges to win! And so, we offer yet, another example The modern touch begins when the square plates are used [...]
My Response To The Author Of When Least Expected
I whole~heartedly agree.Words can poison, words can sting, words can crush…if they are used with ill will and malice. And yet, the same pen can create love, joy, beauty and prose….it can spill words onto parchment so eloquent…the reader is taken to tears…The difference lies within the author, the writer, the user…and that is indeed a power that can be mind chilling and yet so satisfying for the soul.Love,The Muse Did you like this?
